ON1’s Latest NoNoise AI Update Quickly and Smartly Removes Noise

Photography News

ON1 has announced NoNoise AI, its new state-of-the-art application for image noise removal that it says was designed to give better results than any other noise reduction application on the market.

According to a statement from the company, the app will intelligently reduce image noise by leveraging ON1’s AI-Based machine learning to remove luminance and color noise while maintaining as much detail as possible. ON1 says that what separates its offering from other noise reduction applications is the ultra-fast speed at which it operates while still enhancing or recovering potentially lost details.

The company says that the faster live previews will give photographers the speed and results they need with straightforward controls that also include an auto mode that takes user-guided preferences into account. ON1 says that NoNoise AI has been made so it is much easier to use and integrate into an existing workflow by supporting most of the common photo editors and photo file formats.

ON1 NoNoise AI can work as both a standalone application or as part of another workflow as a plugin for Adobe Lightroom Classic, Photoshop, Affinity Photo, Corel Paintshop Pro, Apple Photos, and Capture One Pro.

“This product has been in development for quite a while. We’ve constantly been training the AI models, reviewing results, and comparing those results with other noise removal products out there today,” ON1 VP of Product Dan Harlacher says. “It was no easy task. We knew there was a high bar to clear to say this is the fastest and best product for removing image noise while giving photographers the best results.”

The software can open RAW photos from over 700 cameras, including Fujifilm, and common file types like DNG, JPG, TIF, PNG, and others. When it comes to saving results, it can create industry-standard DNG raw files with the complete tonal and color range for use in most editors.

NoNoise AI will be officially available near the end of June 2021 for $70 standalone or $150 as part of the full On1 Professional Plugin Bundle which is available from the official ON1 NoNoise website here. Owners of ON1 Photo RAW 2021 or other 2021 ON1 apps and plugins will receive special discounted pricing for this all-new product once preorders begin in late May.
